Publications of the Michigan State Law Review
The Michigan State Law Review is the flagship journal of the Michigan State University College of Law, publishing five print edition issues per year and the Michigan State Legal Forum online. The Michigan State Law Review receives approximately 3,000 submissions each year and publishes approximately 15-25 pieces in the three independent issues. At this time, the Law Review does not accept student submissions or book reviews. All other submissions are welcome.

1. Submission Process
We accept submissions in DOCX and PDF form. Please include a CV detailing your relevant qualifications and publication history and a manuscript of the article. We consider submissions of all lengths and do not have a word limit. Articles should use footnotes rather than endnotes or works cited. Text and citations should conform with the The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed. 2015) and The Redbook: A Manual on Legal Style (3d ed. 2002).
2. Dates for Publication
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, but generally fills one to two independent issues between February and April, and one to two independent issues during August and September. We will do our best to review all expedite requests within five to seven days. Shorter review may be available in extenuating circumstances. If an Article is accepted for publication elsewhere, please notify us with a withdrawal request as soon as possible.
