Nick graduated cum laude from Central Michigan University in May 2014 with a degree in Sociology with a Concentration on Social and Criminal Justice. Before entering Michigan State College of Law, he worked as a district court probation officer in St. Clair County, MI. His professional and legal interests are primarily in criminal law. 

Other than Law Review, Nick competes as an oralist and brief writer for the Gibbons Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition team, and he is also a participant in the Dean Charles H. King Scholar program at the College of Law. In his spare time, Nick values spending time with his fiancé, family, and friends and enjoys playing and watching sports, including football (Go Pack Go!), baseball, basketball, and golf. He also enjoys reading and watching television shows.
