Summer Experience: Legal Intern at CareCentrix, Inc., Hartford, CT
Matthew Humerick focuses his studies on corporate law, contracts, and intellectual property law. Specifically, he is interested in pursuing a career that allows him to advance his expertise in business and marketing through a legal perspective.
Matthew has worked for CareCentrix, Inc. where he assisted in the reviewing, editing, organizing, interpreting, and negotiating of various contracts. In 2014 he was the Sales and Licensing Intern at the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum where he worked extensively with licensing agreements. Both of these experiences have given Matthew keen insight into the business side of law. Matthew graduated summa cum laude as valedictorian of Western New England University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
At MSU Law, Matthew is a member of the Michigan State Law Review, Trademark Moot Court Competition Team, Business Law Society, and Intellectual Property Law Society. Matthew also currently serves as the treasurer for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys playing sports, being outdoors, and spending time with friends.
