Alyssa Speichert is interested in criminal and immigration law, specifically how the two areas of law intersect. She works as a legal secretary for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Lake County, Indiana, prior to coming to MSU Law. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with High Distinction honors from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2014 with a dual-degree in American Studies and Criminal Justice. She is also a graduate of IU’s Hutton Honors College, and studies abroad at the University College Dublin – Bill Clinton Institute for American Studies in Dublin, Ireland.

At MSU Law, Alyssa is a member of the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, family, and friends, and trying to keep up with all her TV shows
