"Alyssa Speichert is interested in criminal and immigration law, specifically how the two areas of law intersect. She worked as a legal secretary for the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for Lake County, Indiana, prior to coming to MSU Law. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with High Distinction honors from Indiana University - Bloomington in 2014 with a dual-degree in American Studies and Criminal Justice. She is also is a graduate of IU's Hutton Honors College, and studied abroad at University College Dublin - Bill Clinton Institute for American Studies in Dublin, Ireland.

At MSU Law, Alyssa is a member of the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Women's Law Caucus, and of course, Michigan State Law Review. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time and Skyping with her boyfriend, family, and friends, and watching an unhealthy amount of Netflix."
